Gene Tunney boxed from
1915 to 1928 and lost only one battle-to Harry Greb, whom he later
defeated. Unlike most champions, he coped well with the wealth and fame:
he was a cultured man who mixed with writers and artists; he succeeded in
business, and he saw one of his sons enter Congress.
